I might not mind entering into a deep discussion about this, although I may or may not have a lot to add. I normally have very little time, however, so I will have to print this out and take it home to come up with a reply that is worthy. But there is one thing that comes to mind at first glance....

I'm not too familiar with this part of history, so I might have to do a little research, but to kind of answer your question "Did these Christians engage in the reckless use of children?". My first gut answer would be, "No, absolutely not", because a person is not using a child by simply leading him or her to Christ; in fact, that person is actually saving that child by doing so. But the same cannot be said of having sex with a child. Having sex with a child does not "save" that child in any way that I can see.

Ok....let me think some more about this and see what I come up with. Like I said, I have little time to be online every day, so I don't know how much I will be able to participate in a discussion like this, but who knows.
