There are so many different views on tithing I.E. before or after taxes? Or is helping a family member tithing? The list goes on but I will say this. That Jesus said if you give to the church and do not take care of the poor widow in your family your tithe means nothing. (Paraphrased) You can look the verse up. I would say if it is going to hurt your family to not pay the loan off, pay it off and tithe when you have the opportunity like when you have extra money. Then go back to tithing on a regular basses and keep your finances straight from then on if you can. This is just my opinion though actually this is between you and the Lord. So pray about it and do what you feel led by the Lord to do and He will bless you when you have a pure heart about it! Don't worry about the slide back down to much the climb back up is good exercise!!!
