God loves us as we are but loves us too much to leave us as we are. He desires us to be changed to be more like Jesus.
Judaism is not the mother belief of Islam - it stole pieces of the old testament, mixed them up and designed a man-made religion. Christianity is not man-made but a revelation of truth written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit - not a religion at all.
God loves sinners but hates sin especially sexual sin where we sin against our own bodies. God loves pedophiles, homosexuals, lesbians, etc...but he hates the sin which imprisons us and separates us from Him. He desires to set us free from the power and penalty of sin.
Gay-positive Christianity is an oxymoron. It is the same as saying 'murder positive Christianity' or any other unholy sins that Jesus died for so that we could be forgiven. Jesus does not accommodate our sins and call them righteous because we are weak and struggle against their power. He died to set us free.
The love that we show to others is commended and encouraged by Jesus, however the love that you often speak of is sexual sin which Jesus says we should 'go and sin no more'. Agape love is pure, God's love is pure, the Holy Spirit is holy. He desires that we live in the Spirit and walk in the Spirit so that we do not fulfill the lusts of our flesh.
We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.. and although we may fall many times He picks up those who repent and turn to Him again.
