I want to know if anyone else here has seen this movie and what they might think of it. It's called "Canvas" and I watched it through teary eyes last night. Wow, what a movie! I am going to include the official website here, so you can go and see for yourself what this movie is all about. Be sure and watch the trailer. All I can say is that it trully impressed me in a big way. It's a movie about how a father and son learn to cope with the growing problem with schizophrenia. This is one powerful and moving experience and I doubt, if you are like me, you will be able to either get up for popcorn OR have dry eyes durring this movie. Although the story revolves around the mother (Marcia Gay Harden), the young boy (played brilliantly by adorable newcomer Devon Gearhart) is the real star. He is in probably every single scene, I think. AND, as an added bonus for me, he looks just exactly like a boy I know at my church (!). The father (Joe Pantoliano) is, in my opinion, one very lucky guy to have such a wonderful son, even though he must go through some very sad and trying circumstances. Like I said, this is one good movie!
