Gentlemen, let me first say that I really appreciate your time and efforts in making these posts happen. 6 hours Rainboy! My goodness.
I will keep my comments brief and stick to what I can add to this discussion. I don't know enough to argue the relevant points, but the way I see it, if even one of those verses is genuinely speaking out against loving homosexual relationships as we know them today, that has to be taken into account. To the best of my knowledge, there are zero verses in the Bible that speak out against loving heterosexual relationships (in the context of marriage, of course). I agree with you on this one. I think after everything Robert-I has said the only passage that needs to be examined is Romans 1... but Ill have to do some thinking about that one. As far as I can see this is the key passage from the new testament that could potentially place even loving homosexual relationships outside of Gods created order. Ill put something together and come back on that one. Also, there were passages in the OT that condemned loving heterosexual relationships in the context of marriage, but it was always in connection to marriage to foreign wives with pagan gods. Finally, I have to agree with Robert-I that homosexual sex can be very intimate and clean certainly as much as heterosexual sex can be. Further, my wife can only reach orgasm through oral sex... Ive almost never looked her in the eye while shes had a orgasm.... maybe thats why our marriage is having problems... I dont think so. Blessings Cat. ![]() |
