Yeah, I saw the film and like you I thought that the guys were not all at home upstairs. They seemed overly pathetic. The way the gay parade people were sneering at them didn't help matters. I didn't get the feeling that the film was that dated either. I got the feeling that these guys were wanting to be taken seriously but the director was trying to make us laugh at them. But it was like they were unaware of that agenda so they let their guard down and kaboom.... suckered right in. Overall I found the film disturbing. Too much in common with my own experience as a BL but so much removed as to be ridiculous... where in the whole film was some fun/healthy interaction between men and boys? The guys on that show made my skin crawl. I still am glad I watched it though... I think. Blessings Cat.
