Since Cat has started digging up old dead things from the CBLF garden, I feel I have permission to do the same.

The thread Cat referenced was fairly active, but then it just died out. CSL and Robert-I, I responded to your posts there, and I felt we were still in the middle of a discussion. It is possible you didn't see my responses (as they were already quite far down). Anyway, after all the debate that went into the thread, it seems a pity to end it unresolved. If you want to just "agree to disagree", that's fine -- I doubt we'll reach agreement -- but please just let me know so we can close that chapter officially.

Robert-I, the following is near the end of a chain of posts between us (and probably needs to be seen in context to make sense). Did we reach any conclusions on this thread?

Guys, I ask you to forgive me if I am being overly abrasive about this. I realize I might be "pushing" the issue a bit more than I should. We obviously have very different, strongly-held opinions on this matter. It's also a very personal matter, and in that sense what I'm saying could easily be perceived as a personal attack. I really hope that is not the case! [I don't mean it that way, and I hope it is not perceived that way...] Despite our disagreements, we're brothers, and I appreciate you both. Still, the issue of whether or not homosexuality is acceptable is an important one, and I think it is worth at least trying to reach some sort of "closure" here (even if it is simply to disagree).
