Regardless of one's personal opinion on the rightness or wrongness of the present and possible future relationship between Mason and this boy, any thinking adult, check that, any thinking person out of diapers should be able to see that Mason is on a speeding train headed for a ravine and the bridge is out. Your trivializing it by saying "just don't get caught" is not doing him any favors. Giving a minor booze is only one of many issues here that is quite probably going to get him in trouble. If this is not just a made up story, (we've had them here before), I see no way this will end up as anything but bad for Mason if things continue as they have been. Even though the age difference isn't that great, the fact remains that Mason is an adult and the boy is a minor. If Mason really wants a relationship with this boy, he had better cool his jets till the boy turns 18. Society has very little tolerance even for a heterosexual relationship between an adult and minor, let alone a homosexual one. Right or wrong, that's just how things are.

A minor drinking booze is one thing. But add to that picture an adult male getting drunk with him and that turns up the heat several notches. Then add to that the adult drinking buddy being sexual with him and we just passed the line into nuclear. Don't think for a minute that the sexual play (call it cuddling if you want) won't come out. The mother already thinks drugs are involved, which apparently is no big deal to Mason. And if things keep going the way they are going, it won't be long before the play turns into outright sex. Robert, I can't believe you don't see the mine field Mason is trying to dance thru.
