I have to completely agree with Godspell here.
There are meny terms describing a sexual orientation that includes attraction to younger individuals than oneself, many of which are entirely synonymous and others have subtle differences. But none of them have anything to say about child abuse or rape. We have terms for those people: child abusers, child molesters and child rapists. The media has confused these with the words for orientations, but there is no more connection between them than there is between the terms for heterosexuals and the words wife beater, stalker, rapist, or pimp. Story over.
