Well, many people are there with you, Blben, and God loves us as we are, however hard it may be for us in the world of people. Jesus Christ died for us and suffered every persecution we could go through - and whoever he may have been attracted to, he didn't get to have a marital relationship with them (no matter what several silly conspiracy-theory books have said). He is with you in your struggle.

I take the Lord very seriously about the bible being about love, but my concept of love is pretty demanding, since I think the Lord really asks us to do our best. I don't think sexual interactions between a 40 yo and a 7 yo would be able to meet the mark (though I know there are a few androphile boys who do try to incite men in this direction), because even if society wasn't poisoned against such relations, the needs of 7 yos are simply elsewhere, and it's an imposition on them. On the other hand, when it comes to being friend, mentor, and guide, that can be very much consistent with God' love -- as long as you feel the spirit has given you enough self-control to resist sexual aggression (such as unwanted touching), persuasion (things like saying "I'll show you mine if you show me yours") and persuadability (intimate suggestions arising spontaneously from an androphile boy who has a crush on you, such as "you can do anything with me you want" [something a BL acquaintance recently had his 7 yo YF say to him, but he declined to take advantage).

I am very supportive of the Baptist idea of definitively inviting Jesus into your heart with a prayer like this: "Lord Jesus Christ, I invite you to come into my heart as my personal saviour." If you have never uttered such a thing, I recommend it as part of putting on the full armour of God, as the bible says to do. What it takes to resist inconvenient sexual impulses is not so much strength or self-control as guidance from the holy spirit about how best to love... and with Jesus truly foremost in your heart, I believe you will receive that guidance and be a safe and loving friend.
