A pedophile is an individual who is sexually attracted to children.

A boylover is an individual who is romantically attracted to boys.

All boylovers are pedophiles. Not all pedophiles are boylovers. Likewise, there are many boylovers who are sexually active just as there are many who are not.

I don't see any reason why anyone should attempt to change the meaning of well established words.
