Pedophile vs. Boylove? This is how I view the difference and I will tell you why.

Pedophile= An adult that has committed a sexual act against a child in any way at all. Legally it is a crime.

Boylover= An adult that has a sexual attraction to a child but has never and will never act on those feelings. Legally they want to make this a crime.

I will use just one scenario. If you want to murder someone because of a hate or any other reason and you do not kill the person then you are not a murderer, even if you plan it out in your mind and think about it most every day. Our court system and people in general accept this because after all you may have a reason for feeling this way and so long as you do not act on those feelings then you have done nothing wrong legally and would not be considered to be a murderer. Psychology and our legal systems have a double standard. Because even if you have sexual feelings towards a child and have never acted on them you are guilty because you will break down and act on them one day, therefore you are a monster and should not be a part of society. I am talking legally here not Biblical. So legally I can plan a murder out in my mind all I want but if I admit to having sexual feelings for a child society would almost ok me being killed, and that would even be justified!

What do you think about this? I would just like to see a distinction between those who would act on their feelings and those who would not. I know this will never happen but I wanted to see if I am the only one who feels this way and if I am where am I going wrong?
