CSL,

The primary difficulty I have with your exegesis of the Scripture is this.

The way I see your argument is this:
Homosexual acts in Scripture were only condemned under certain religious/cultural practice scenarios.
Loving homosexual monogamous relationships are not mentioned or condemned.
The only scripture that pastes a blanket ban on homosexual practice (ie: Leviticus) is part of the old and now done away with law (along with wearing clothes of mixed fabric etc...).
and
Since Love is the primary goal of all law as long as a relationship is loving then its acceptable.
If homosexuals could legally get married it would constitute a biblical marriage.

Now using all of these same principles I could argue:
Bestiality acts in Scripture were only condemned under certain religious/cultural practice scenarios.
Loving bestial monogamous relationships are not mentioned or condemned.
The only scripture that pastes a blanket ban on bestiality practice (ie: Leviticus) is part of the old and now done away with law (along with wearing clothes of mixed fabric etc...).
and
Since Love is the primary goal of all law as long as a relationship is loving then its acceptable.
If a man who loved his pet dog could legally get married to it, it would constitute a biblical marriage.

What do you think of all this?
Have I understood your position correctly?
How do you think my application of your principles fits the man/dog relationship?
Brother I have a huge amount of respect for you and your views. I debate these things in love and affection.

Your brother in Christ
Cat.
