Listen, Youth, I'll admit that there should be a "probably" inserted into my "God would have done it by now", but the flip side of it is that continuing to pray for and making plans to expect God to do it after all this time and pain and suffering is wrong, and wrongheaded. At some point, we need to be able to move forward in a spirit of self-forgiveness and love and let God make God's own decisions and learn to live the best we can with those decisions as they are.

God has God's reasons for not changing us and not permitting us to change ourselves, and it's not because God's a jerk and likes increasing the suicide rate in certain populations. On the contrary, God permits us times of suffering so that we can learn to love God and to love our neighbors, and grow out of the fear and into ever increasingly mature children of God.
