First, stand by your friend. Don't worry about guilt by association unless you have something to feel guilty about. Ie: if you were sharing pics with him or doing something else illegal with him (which it sounds like you had no idea he was a pedo so then not). If your conscience is clear, be bold in standing on that. Here's a chance for you to (without revealing your own situation) take a stand for his humanity over and against the ignorant "witch hunt" mentality of the community. Be brave Empire.

Secondly, a big e-hug for the last two weeks of tears. I pray the Lord's comfort on you bro and shall keep that family in my prayers. I know how hard separation dynamics are on a family :(
