After sending a general answer late last night, I thought I would come back and go into this in slightly more detail.
"There are 5 kinds of pedophiles in terms of ethics You state this as fact. However, this is not actually a fact. This is a subjective system of categorization that you unilaterally created and appears to leave out a significant number of pedophiles, most notably the situational pedophiles who make up the majority of child molesters." (I'm sorry, I don't know how to do formatting such as bolding in this system yet - tried html codes but that didn't work) This taxonomy is really an expatiation of logically discrete possibilities that I have actually seen enacted, and it rests on its logic as much as on its experience. The "situational pedophiles who make up the majority of child molesters" you mention would mostly be clearly classified as "aggressive" : for example, people who came into young girls' bedrooms without saying anything and just started sexual intercourse would be "aggressive." In all other cases they would fall into this breakdown according to how they approached children they were interested in molesting. All taxonomies are subjective categorizations and the one who proposes them generally does so unilaterally, i.e., via personal thought. Patterns occur in nature but not with the level of precise delineation that they appear to take on when we use our limited tool, human speech, to describe them. "The majority of little boy lovers are abstinent You state this as fact, but unless you can present conclusive evidence, it is nothing more than a guess." Instruct me, methodologically, on how I could realistically substantiate this to your satisfaction (without introducing impossibilities like "enlist 60 randomly chosen little boy lovers in a poll, not excluding those who have only thought about it but never done anything"). In the meantime, even if I overlook the thousands of posts I have read by little boy lovers in the past, how could anyone in today's society imagine that most lbls are sexually active with little boys? Do you seriously think they are? Similar questions could be asked about your other skeptical notes. In terms of aggressives being on the boards, yes, it has been known to happen. However, I first found my way into the BL community by blundering into their true online habitats, and I believe the overlap between those and the well-monitored boards is very small. That's because the well-monitored boards don't do anything they find exciting. There are two kinds of "desires of a violent nature," the desire to actually violate people, and vulnerabilist (s/m)sexual fetishes where people may simply fantasize about things like tying others up with their consent, but have no actual invasive, violating, non-mutual desires at all. You may want to be specific about what you are referring to. |
