Since God isn't much concerned with actions as with spiritual, inward, things, don't you think that if God placed your physical behavior on your mind that maybe God's trying to change something more spiritual in you than whether or not you beat the meat? Maybe, because it was getting in the way of your relationship with God before, that you should look at it differently?

Usually, when "working at" something doesn't work, and the problem just gets worse and worse, it means you're thinking about it wrong, usually backwards. Maybe, just maybe, your being caught up with this idea that you are "struggling" with masturbating, or "struggling" with being gay is really something more, something deeper than superficial behavior. Maybe, just maybe, you should stop spending energy on trying to fight your God-given sexual nature and start spending energy on the relationship itself.

My point, plainly put, is that it's not the jerking off that's getting in the way of your relationship with God, it's your belief that it even can.
