You yourself can choose to live beyond the negatives and the darkness. As a child of God, you should not be living in darkness at all, but in His light. He loves you and has great purpose for you, regardles of who or what you are sexually attracted to. There is no need to beat yourself up, or even to feel bad, about something that you have been given in life that you did not ask for and would gladly get rid of if you could. God is well aware of our situation and I believe He has given us a way to look at it as a gift rather than a burden.

It is good to live by discipline, we all have to do that in this world. We can't just run around and do whatever we want, right? But it is also good to realize that God understands when we make mistakes and He loves us unconditionaly. He is not up in Heaven with a big checklist of our rights and wrongs, trying to ballance them out and see if one wins out over the other. It dosen't work that way. Our salvation is based on His forgiveness and on our acceptance of His love. That is how I understand God.

He really loves you and He only wants the very best for you. He will show you how to let this thing you think of as a burden become a real blessing if you let Him.
