Research Project UpdatePosted by MAA Daily Lives on 2007-November-18 19:02:24, Sunday My name is Kevin Brown, and I am a member of this community. I am also the coordinator, or "gatekeeper", for the MAA Daily Lives Research Project being conducted by Sarah Goode, Ph.D., at the University of Winchester (U.K.). This project has involved several years of work on the part of the researcher, the research team, and myself. Our goal is to match the population sample that Tom O'Carroll (Paedophile Information Exchange) secured for an earlier non-biased sociological study of those sexually attracted to youth (seventy-seven responses in the Cox study). I have worked hard to address concerns members of our community have raised with this project, and those concerns have resulted in a redesigned project website that I hope you will consider visiting and looking over: MAA Daily Lives Research Project Website To date, we have received twenty-five completed questionnaires towards our goal of seventy-five for the study. I have worked hard to bring this opportunity to my community, sacrificing much free time and opportunity to earn money; I hope you will consider helping too by completing the questionnaire and forwarding it to the research. If you have any concerns at all, please write me or post onto this thread, and I will do my best to address them or discuss the project with you. BoyChat and GirlChat are my home forums; I have not tried to publicize the project outside of those two venues. I would very much like to, however. I wonder if anyone here is an established poster over at boylover.net, and would consider posting a link to the project? I don't know that anyone knows who I am over there, and the project is one that demands credibility for people to feel comfortable with. Would you consider linking and mentioning the project from anu? love, kevin My own impression: I have talked to Sarah over email. It does seem legit. |
