Sometimes I am not clear enough or do not take the time to explain what I mean entirely.
I would encourage us to stand up for ourselves. I do not think he should have taken legal action, tried to get the cops fired or anything. More basic than that is what I think he should have done, left with his head high. Make them know they did not scare him. Make an official report of it then let it go. Like I said from what he told us there was no incriminating evidence there so verbally in front of his boss challenge him to point out the evidence or what he was doing wrong. When he was at the park he could have had the counselors come over and repeat in front of him what they said about him, see if they actually have the balls or will only talk about him behind his back. You can be sure with the way the kids were treating him they were not going to lie about what was going on. If that had happened he didn't have to take any legal action but he could leave knowing he did the right thing and those cops and councilors would have seen a man stand up for his rights and not cow down afraid. this is not the easy road and I would not recommend it to anyone who has a problematic past. Our legal system is crooked and skewed away from us but we still need to stand up for ourselves at times, choose our battles and this is one that could have been at least morally won. |
