I am a member of an Evangelical Covanent Church. I love it! I was brought up Catholic and then became a Penicostal when I was a teen. Then I tried Baptist, which was ok. But the church I love the most is the one I am in right now. I have nothing bad to say about any of the Denominations I was a part of prior to this, however, because I learned a lot in all of them.
I spent a lot of time praying for change and indeed, change did happen. But not the kind of change I was praying for. I have become more like Christ in many ways but God has not changed my sexual attraction. Why? I believe that perhaps it's because it isn't as important as other things like patience, kindness, forgiveness, etc. I can accept what I am today because I believe God accepts me as I am today. But I am always trying to look forward. We are all becoming something beautiful but it's probably better to focus on the process of becoming and all of life happening around you, than trying to squint and see the finished product.
