But, do you mean acceptance or approval? It is one thing to accept what we are and another thing to approve of what we are. In the first, it is a step towards the life of repentance that the Holy Trinity has called us to. In the second, all sins can be "approved" of and therefore there is no repentance or change towards the will of God.
