On the question of Suicide.

I don't see any Scripture that says suicide is an unforgivable sin.

In fact I don't see any Scripture that says suicide is sin at all... there simply isn't any Scriptural instruction on the subject.

I just watched a movie called "open water" in which a couple is left after a diving expedition out in the middle of the sea. Warning Movie Spoiler to follow: the wife, having lost her husband to sharks is now left with the prospect of being eaten herself. The odds are stacked "HIGH" against her. She realizes this and chooses to drown herself instead. Is that sinful? Somehow I think its just sensible.

I believe one can suicide in faith that you are going home and leaving behind unavoidable suffering.
I don't always believe we have clear judgment on when that is though.

Some Christians argue that suicide is self-murder. IMO, biblical murder involves hatred. So if you hate yourself and that's why you suicide... then I suppose you could label it self-murder.... unforgivable? NO!

I'm sure many Christians have died in the midst of some sin or another. Are we going to be judged on our state of mind or actions in our last moments of life?.... Again... not a biblical idea really.

Salvation is by faith in Christ. It is a gift of God, not of works (Eph 2). Believers sin and are still saved by grace. If your sin happens to result in your death does it nullify grace? I don't believe so.
