Hi De,

Thank you for the "Happy Birthday". I got to celebrate it with some of my closest friends and it was really nice. We made some of my favorite food and had a nice party. And although food isn't QUITE as nice as boys, it comes close when it's Cajun quisine.

No, it really didn't help knowing that I am old enough to be your dad. But it would be cool to BE your dad, I think.

You are right about how we should focus on the good things that God IS doing in our lives, rather than always thinking about the things we wish He would do or that we wish we had. I have learned to be grateful for the things I have in my life. I know that I have a lot. And whenever I start to feel too sorry for myself, I just think about the child I am sponsering who has so very little.
