Hey Chris,
It really is a sad thing. But there is a little bit of hope there in the end, because you know he'll be with his Best Friend, without the suffering or pain. He actually just passed away. Your prayers for the departed and his family would be appreciated. Its still a really weird feeling, but I just know he's in a better place.
