I hope this wasn't a response from you, JohnQ, to the arguments brought by InclusiveOrthodoxy.
Now I want to be clear here. Inclusive Orthodoxy (herein "IO") does not infer having anything to do with the denomination called "The Orthodox Church". It uses the term in it's actual meaning "correct teaching", referring specifically to the view of Scripture as absolute and True. Now, if your post was intended as a response to IO, it fails to address any of the arguments presented by IO, and what it does say is based only on tradition. Even you must see that tradition (including traditional interpretations of the True Bible) is a human creation, and therefore suspect. If Scripture and logic (theology) say that a tradition is incorrect, then that tradition must bow to it. So any counter to IO must address all of IO's interpretation of what Justin Cannon calls the "clobber passages", and failure to do so means a failed argument. Any and all of the other scriptural passages often quoted in attack of homosexuality depend on these core passages in order to be applied to homosexuality. In Christ, ~CSL ![]() |
