I have to disagree with you on this one.
The movie was just a bunch of one liners and action scenes strung together with the thinnest of plots. It featured characters so flat they might as well have been called "Spartan #1", "Spartan #2", "Spartan #3"...etc. Even the action scenes, the only things that drive this movie, become boring and repetitive after a while. The plot doesn't turn, doesn't twist, doesn't do anything but meander forward in a linear fashion to the inevitable conclusion. The movie was far from historical. It is set in a fictional Sparta where pederasty does not exist, the sky is not blue, and men share the world with variety of half-human monsters. Yes, there are hot boys in the movie. But they do not make up for the nearly two hours of plotless boredom that is 300. If mindless action is your cup of tea, might as well give it a shot. But I just thought I'd give you another point of view. |
