King is very hit-and-miss to me, but I've read quite a few. I liked the first two Dark Tower books, those were very good. I shall read the rest eventually. I also liked The Long Walk and Hearts in Atlantis, and a few stories in Everything's Eventual.

I read the extended version of The Stand, which everyone seems to love. I hated it. The Talisman, The Dark Half, Rage, those were no good to me either. On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft I've read too, so-so.

On my bookshelf sit the third and fourth Dark Tower books, Roadwork, The Running Man, Bag of Bones, and It. None of which I've read, but may when I take a break from some Richard Dawkins and Noam Chomsky books I'm reading at the moment. Do you recommend any of those?
