I hope what I write is taken in good voice and not as a criticism. Whilst I don't understand what you are going through very well I know that you struggle with life more than most.

As for your post I guess everyone wishes to be free of the troubles of this world and longs for the ignorant bliss of childhood again. But just as Paul says "Be imitators of me" to those churches that he founded instead of "be imitators of Christ" so too must us men be examples for the generations to come. I hope I'm not too ignorant or naive in stating that I'm sure that even you would not wish your longing to be (or be with!) a child to be imitated by the very children you're longing for.

Our society is already fraught with a lack of good male role models (how many single parent families are there these days?) and I believe that one of the tasks that God requires of all men (especially parents) is to raise their children in a godly and god fearing manner (proverbs is intended for parents to teach their children wisdom so that they may grow up in the Lord). So in all my ignorance and lack of understanding of the depth of your cry, I can only encourage you see the beauty of growing up, not for your sakes but for those who have yet to grow up. For they are what really matter."

I hope that doesn't sound judgemental... Anyway its up to you what you do with it :D
