I cannot speak for Cat, but I have sought the Spirit's guidence on this matter for a number of years, and you here at CBlF have seen much of that process over the past few years.
Blackstone, when I beg God to change me, either to make me straight or to give me the strength for celibacy, I have heard over and over again in both subtlety and overt words "No." That is where the Holy Spirit is: telling me that this is not sin. That even boylove, given the right cultural structures (which don't exist atm in most places) is not a sin. Because this information flies in the face of tradition, it must be tested against the Scriptures directly, so I can be sure that I am hearing the voice of God and not the Devil or the will of my own heart. This is why the logical argument from the Scriptures is so important: God will never tell us something in contradiction to what He has already told us, but often corrects our ideas about what He has said. It is thus and I dare say only thus that God directs us and we can follow. In Christ, ~CSL ![]() |
