You know Chris, I don't think this is as "not very spiritual" as it may seem.

If, "God gives us all things Richly to enjoy" 1 Tim 6:17.

and if "All things are lawful for me but I will not be brought under the power of any" 1 Cor 6:12

are applied to this statement it makes perfect Biblical sense.

These things are not a licence to disobey God's specific commandments. However, since there are NO specific commands not to masturbate and if your concience does not condemn you then this principle of enjoy but exercise self-mastery is a good one.
