Ok, I agree with you that masturbation is not a sin in and of itself (note that I spelled it correctly this time), and that lust IS the actual sin. But if I apply the definition of lust that I wrote about before, then simply thinking sexually about a boy isn't lust. I can think sexually about a boy without desiring him to the point of believing I cannot live without him or cannot live without having sex with him.
You know, I personally think God has a lot more to concern Himself with than our pathetic excusses for sex lives (pathetic if all we do is masturbate once in a while). But I agree with you that it can become a serious problem if it gets out of hand (no pun intended...but it was kind of funny...). I've heard of pastors who have bad porn problems and it's no laughing matter. I myself have had to struggle with a pornography addiction. When things become addictions they are indeed a bad problem. But they don't have to be addictions. I'm against porn of any kind, but as far as masturbation goes, I believe it can be done in moderation and I don't think we need to feel guilty about it.
