I had the best day yesterday. I volunteered to help out at a Youth Group party at the church after work. They needed someone to cook brats and hamburgers on the grill for them. So when they anounced it at church, who do you suppose was the first to volunteer....yup!,Me! I've been wanting to do something for the youth group and because I'm a big barbeque freak, what better way, right?

Anyway, I showed up at the event with my grill and got it all fired up and ready to go. But then they decided to pray before I had any burgers or brats on it, so I had a long line of hungry kids with no food to give them yet. I told them they would have to wait a little bit, so they took off and started playing games. When I started cooking, that's when they started hauling out the water balloons. Oh man did they have a blast! And I had fun watching them drench each other.

As soon as I anounced that the food was done, I heard this voice behind me, "I'd like a burger and a brat, please." I turned around and it came from this beautiful blond-haired,soaking wet boy. Oh man I nearly dropped his burger on the ground trying to get it on the bun just right. Then came the rest of the kids...many cute and wet boys among them. It was great but I realised that I had done it all wrong from the start. I should have told that first boy, "I'll give you a burger for a big hug.". Then today I started thinking, I would have been kind of like a "reverse Wimpy". You know, Wimpy from the cartoon Popeye. "Ill gladly pay you tuesday for a hamburger today"...

Which leads me to the question...

Do you think Wimpy was a BL? I mean, he was always around Sweet Pea and he never had a girl friend or anything.

It's weird what you think of when you work in a shop doing a really borring job all day long, huh?
