It is possible to be an atheist and to be perfectly happy and fulfilled. Once you come to terms with the idea that this is likely the only life we have, and there is no consciousness beyond death, life is therefore all the more precious and meaningful.

On the contrary, some might argue that Christians are in danger of failing to live their lives to the fullest, if they believe their life as a human is significantly less valuable than afterlife to come.
