Meh... your actual question first, I guess...

I found the Tom OCarroll site particularly intersting reading. But the one thing I keep asking myself is, "Why am I reading this?". Or better still, "Why do we read this?". Why?

Why do we read this? Simple - because illiteracy is a godforsaken plague upon the earth, and I don't want to be a part of something so nauseating.

Questions?

Is our society ever going to accept a sexual relationship between an adult and a child? I doubt it. Without society's acceptance and approval...

Y'know... I often post as an out-and-proud kiddiefiddler on a messageboard which uses the Vbulletin system. Charming software, has a "reputation" system to document and channel normal social community regulation... 'n best of all, it's a secret ballot.

Things I've gotten positive reputation for :

- going off on a rant about some 3yo girl I was dating in the middle of a post.

- raving about the fascist insanity of McCain's proposed sex offender legislation.

- writing an essay about "things gradeschoolers have taught me about masturbation in female culture."

...and several more, of course.

Things I've gotten negative reputation for :

- nothing. Not even being an out-'n-proud pedo. Not in the least.

'n y'know? Life offline isn't too different from life online. Openly dating a preschooler? Well... make people smile when they see you together, and you'll only be remembered fondly. Fly your colors everyday... decorate your room with children's art photography... have a frickin' GL shrine with a giant shirt that says "made" in hot pink, and the gangsters and criminals won't flick you shit in the least. Buy children's art photography in calendars at the store, the employee won't criticize your taste if they like their job... yadda, yadda...

Everything you list... the acceptance of the masses? "Approval?" It's already there, in spades. Most people don't give a rip what you are in the least. It's whether you have anything else to offer the world that matters.

The only thing between me and the life God made me for is a government unsupported by the people.

So why frustrate yourself with this kind of reading?

...and, just out of curiosity, I don't suppose you'll take responsibility for every life you abandoned because you thought it would be lazier to lie down and give up?

Either way, I read well enough that trying to puzzle out "them thar scribbles" doesn't frustrate me, and tend to read more for learning or ideas than in the hopes that a severe clinical depression which has more to do with nutritional intake than what I'm reading will somehow disappear.
