Hey tjejen,

this is a testimony both sad and wonderful.

I'm sorry for what you have suffered as a child... I cannot imagine what it must have been like. How wonderful that God has delivered you.

I was also sexualised as a small child (about 8)... but my experience was non-violent. It would be fair to say I even enjoyed it.

Did that experience make me attracted to boys?.... I don't know. I used to think so but recently I remembered being attracted to boys before that sexualisation.

I have been asking God to set me free (heal me) from this attraction for over 20 years. I'm still waiting. I have given my life to Him and repented... pleaded with Him in prayer... I've even prayed "Lord if there is anything I'm doing to stand in the way of healing then show me, help me repent and take it away"...what more can I do?

My experience of physical healing has been mixed. I've known people to be instantly healed like you were... some of cancer... one boy I know was raised from the dead. I've also known some who got healed but only after a long wait and much surgery. And I've known some who have died in thier illnesses. For the best of my knowledge they were all solid Christian folks. This testimony is consistent with Scripture. Not every beleiver gets healed of every infirmity... despite the apparent "whatever you ask" of Jesus's promice.

I wonder, hearing your testiomny, if your sexual orientation issues were more environmental than inborn?... is that a reason you were able to find change so quickly? All the same gender attracted Christians whom I know have tried hard to find healing... and whilst many of the hurts of the past get helded they (we) have not found orientation healing.

If it was as simple as making a choice... I'd be healed.
Healing in Scripture is never described as something we choose... but as a gift of God.
I'm with the other guys on this... God chooses who He gives His gifts too.

Blessings
Cat.
