When we abide in the Lord that means we live with him 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Our thoughts are on Him, we live to please Him.
And in return, we are given Life. This is true of myself, and probably of others here as well. So, what's your point? When Jesus was in the wilderness, satan tempted Him. In every time that Jesus was tempted, he dealt with it in scriptures. Yet your entire thesis is predicated on the false belief that temptation is sinful. Jesus himself was tempted yet here you are claiming that our temptation is sinful. If temptation is sinful, then Jesus was a sinner. But see, temptation is not sinful. Sinfulness is to give in to temptations. Lust for children is our temptation and it is no more a sin than the temptations Jesus faced. If we give in to those temptations, that is a sin, but temptation its self is never a sin no matter what the temptation may be. God never promised to deliver you from temptations. God only promised that no temptation would be stronger than you could bear. He never promised you would live a temptation free life. He didn't even live a temptation free life himself when he came to dwell as a human being. when we completely lean upon Him and His word. In our rough times, we give it to Him. Many of us do just that. Now, may I ask why you refuse to tackle the difficult questions? You continue to ignorantly claim that God will give you everything you want even though we have biblically proven that is not true. 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That verse is unescapable. In black and white, right there in your bible, staring you in the face is undeniable proof that your statement that God will give you everything you ask for is simply not true. Paul asked three times and three times God told him no. Paul never received what he asked for. God is not here to serve you. You are here to serve God. If God gave you everything you asked for, you would not be his servant, he would be yours. The bible clearly states that you will not receive everything you ask for, Paul certainly didn't. |
