Where do you get your info on pais?

I just looked up the word in a fairly comprehensive dicitonary of 1st Cent.. Greek words.... and it tells me that the most common meaning for the word is a child between the ages of 7 to 14..... male or female.

This meaning is consistent with its use in the NT... where it is used of the 12 year old Jesus when he questions the Jewish teachers in Luke 2:43.
Of a girl He heals in Luke 8:51-54 and of a man's son who is healed in John 4:51.

The fact alone that Jesus gets called a pais in the NT immediately makes me question the idea that the "most likely usage of that word is in reference to the younger partner in a pederastic relationship".

I'll need to see more contrary evidence before I'll be convicned.
