Hey CSL!
Which brings me to my continued conclusion that there is nothing inherently wrong with having sex with a boy or man. Sexual boylove is wrong for us only because of the culture we live in and tha damage and shame that culture can cause to a boy

Ah, like I have said many a time. I like your thinking! :D

BUT ... what I really wanted to discuss before but never had a chance, but now the chance once again arises, is: are there really ethics and a natural law ?

There are many ethical theories. Some say our Ethics comes from a higher power and larger natural laws (Aquinas, Plato, etc), while some say that our ethics is only based on human doings (Hobbes, Bentham), Hume and Kant go somewhere inbetween those two sides, and then some say that there is no such thing as Ethics and Natural Law and Human Nature and everything is relative (Nietzsche, Sartre, although these are athiestic views).

What do you (CLS) and others think? Personally, I don't know. What I see in reality simply doesn't correspond to what I want to believe. Because basically, if we answer this question of ethics, natural law and human nature, we can make clearer and more supported decisions dealing with situations like this!

From CLS's and my perspective (as quoted above), it would seem more than Ethics concerning this matter at least are based simply on the human situation at that specific point. Although, that doesn't mean that I think that way for everything. So this raises another question - is there only one true theory of ethics, or are different theories used in different situations?

Just some food for thought. Oh, and lets leave out the divine command theory (which states that something is right because God said so. Period), as we've all heard it enough. Of course, in my opinion, God chose the right things to be right for a reason, but Humans must be able to understand atleast a PART of that reason in order to make competent choices on our own (and, in my opinion, God wouldn't give us free will if he didn't give us some way of making competent choices besides "i told you so").

So, lets hear it!

Graces of God,
Deliverance
