Why does it have to be God vs Boylove?

I agree with your basic premise that God is more important than anything else, including boys.

Why does it have to be either or though? How do you coulnt time spent with a yf at church or reading the Bible with one? I spent an hour on the phone once with a yf reading the psalms. Does that count as boy or God time?

The best things in life do not have to be seperated from your time with God. In fact that brings me to the next point, you are always with God. While at work, cleaning your house, or just walking around He is there. When we are able to see him in all things we do the distinction between secular and holy becomes fuzzy.

Time is not the perfect way to measure. Most people have 40hr a week jobs. I could be wrong but I think most christians with full-time jobs do not spend time specifically with God more than 40hrs a week.

Your second criteron is better I think, motivation. More specifically motivation needs to be followed by action. You have to want to be with God more than other things and then actually set that time aside to do it. Also then that relationship with God needs to affect your everyday actions and the bigger things in your life.

It is at this point when the line will get more blurred. Your time with boys will be time with God. This does NOT mean you should stop going to church, praying, reading the Bible, etc but that these things are not an interruption from the ordinary life you lead, they become a bolstering of your everyday walk with God where you see him in all you do and in all places.
