boyloving in the Renaissance

Posted by Bertil on 2007-04-21 10:26:11, Saturday

Hello, just thought I'd share you something. We all know that Plato had a thing for boys, but in the Renaissance, Platonism was revived along with the association of mysticism, philosophy of love and loving boys. Just learnt that today accidentally-neoplatonism in the renaissance found in the dictionary of the history of thought online--and thought it was interesting. Of course there were different opposing strands of thought happening at that time, some preferred Aristotle, some preferred the Romantic idea of a pure lady (courtly love, which was transformed into the devotion to "Our Lady") others said that love was best between man and woman, not to mention God.

As for Sangster, yes he is cute, but I think Bertil Guver wins hands down.
I suppose he is less cute and more beautiful.

Why is beauty so important to us?

God bless,
Bertil.
