I'm not about to deny the friendship and sense of community you have shown me. I suppose I don't necessarily associate that with Christianity though. You happen to be a Christian, but human relationships and positive social networks are just as compatible with any other culture or religion (or lack thereof).

In the case of the person responsible for these shootings, I'm not sure that informing him of Jesus would have changed his decision. I would accept, though, that a troubled person might be reached through friendship and community, if that is what qwerty was suggesting.
