lol, I love your use of language ;-)

Thanks. :) I always figured that if I can offend those who take things too seriously, while amusing the heck out of those who don't, I'll at least have wasted my life *well.*

and I agree with your point, too. Of several possible explanations for this kids behavior, one of them is that he is gay, and it is important for his wellbeing that he be supported in that possibility, and at the very least that he be told that it's not a horrible, evil thing if he is gay. What that means in this case, with Kristian as the only person who's likely to give this position, I'm not sure, but this kid is definately looking for support and love, and he should get both.

Hmm...

...this brings to mind a curious question : what, exactly, could a flaming homophobe do to support the queer kids in their life without, oh, I dunno... promoting suicide or 'therapy,' for instance?

It's been weighing on my mind a little since I read this message the first time... I mean... blurting out "God hates you and wants you to burn, because I can't understand the difference between arsenokotai and androkotai" is, umm... certainly destructive. "Hey, you - stop being gay!" is pretty destructive.

'n destroying young kids is probably a bad thing.

OTOH, the flaming, militant, and often violent heterosupremacists are unlikely to even be competent at expressing the notion that this person is a perfectly wonderful, valid, and cherished human being, just the way they are, and the absolute equal of any other mortal who has ever walked this earth, and no less than anyone...

...it's a paradox. What to do?
