Hi Aaron,

I love what you said, especially about God watching over us. I believe that whole-heartedly. God loves us, He isn't out to get us. I used to think of Him that way, that He was just sitting on his throne, looking down on us, waiting for us to screw up so He could make notes about how bad we are in his book. Then when we die He would look to see if our good things outwieghed our bad. My God was an "I'm gonna gettcha" God. Not anymore.

God is our Father who dearly loves us. In fact, He is the role model for good fatherhood. And no good father would ever be out to get his child, no matter what. God also understands everything about us; what we think, feel, and hope for. He not only knows what we do, but why we do it. He knows a lot more about us than we know about us. And He loves us with all His heart dispite our shortcomings.

In my heart I know I have many shortcomings, but I also know I have a loving Father who is at work in my life to take me past those things. There is much about life I do not understand, much about God I do not understand, but I am glad that I don't have to. He is in charge and He is under controle. As long as I strive to make Him Lord, life will be alright.
