My YF rang me on my mobile earlier & told me that he's glad he didn't go to church coz he got given his favourite ice-cream with chocolate flakes & stuff.......... it made me annoyed inside coz as parents what do they care about........ his salvation or loving him up by getting to his pallet.

Anyway..... should I judge?

d unfortunately from what I know it's the latter that will happen (in yer post).
When I spoke 2 my YF I've arranged to meet him after school tommoz to go to go into town & buy him a card for his Dad. It might help.

I don't know how much is what I've picked up (empathetically) & how much is fact, but I'd say that what happened is that his Dad is bi-sexual verging on gay. His son was an accident. After 4 years of his son being alive he decided to marry his Mother, but it was done reluctantly. Since then it's all been a struggle.
That gives yer a taster of the facts, but it's just what I pick up when I look into his Dad's eyes.
