I just emailed my YF & sent him an attachement of: Billy Joel & Cats In The Cradle.
I suggested that he played it on the sitting-room PC whilst his Dad's home. I also mentioned that maybe his Dad should start playing football (soccer) with us. Also I said that if his Dad had behaved like a Dad in the first place them he wouldn't have sought me out to fill the gap................ but I explained that it aint too late. If his Dad starts doing stuff with him then that'll be good.
I also said that his Dad made his bed from years of not bothering, so he has to lay in it, until he has the motivation to put things right.
