Heh, Hi spiffy! ;P

You are correct about that. And as usual, I didn't complete my full thought.

(I blame it on everyone else, because they can't read my mind! It makes perfect sense as I think it, even if I don't explain it! BWAAHAHAHA!)

"It is not really our job to try and perceive fact from fiction."

That should really be ammended to when we have no proof one way or the other. Ever heard the old addage... "There are no real women on the internet" or "When a person connects to the internet their [blank] automatically grows by three inches" They are blanket statements reflective on how easy it is to lie on the internet. There are no real consequences. There is no face to face non-verbal cues to give us away. We will never meet. If you get caught in a lie, you abandon that screen-name and begin another, with another lie. Some people thrive upon it. Yet, at the same time there are some people with far fetched stories that are true, but less believable than the fictional story of a very good liar.

Without proof one way or the other, there is no way to discern. And I am not saying we should not be wary. On the contrary, be wary of everyone! No matter how plausible they sound. LOL even I could be one of dem trolls or FBI dudes *snickers* However unlikely, for all you or anyone else knows, it COULD be true. Same goes for every single person in here.

Yet through it all, what I personally choose to do is take people at face value. If it is a lie, all that is wasted is time, prayer (is prayer ever wasted?) and sometimes emotions. If it is not a lie, nothing is wasted. Yet, if it is truth, and we are certain is a lie and do nothing, a person's soul could potentially be at stake. For me, it seems better to err on the side of discretion... Does that make sense?

And as I said, if someone has doubts, there is never any harm in asking for more detail or express doubt. But I say it should be done tactfully and in a Christian manor. We, are, after all, God's children and therefore share a bond that should be far more meaningful than mere DNA. We don't have ties of human blood, but the blood of Christ.

I was feeling tensions rise, because it is a volatile subject, so I posted. We all have need of reminders of who we are from time to me. Me, more than most, I would think. It was a lack of those reminders that I received here on a daily basis, that led me to splatter my faith on the proverbial sidewalk. ;)
