Hello all...
I think I stand somewhere in the middle. As Christian, we should neither be quick to accuse, nor should we be quick to retaliate. Only Youth and God know with absolute certainty that he is telling the truth, and how much is truth. It is not really our job to try and perceive fact from fiction. I admit, I was left a bit confused by the broken rib thing, but I chose to chalk it up to nerves as he typed. It is an easy thing to do when your brain is full of adrenaline. Personally, I tend to take people at their word. Especially here. I am not saying that every one should, that is just my way. And it has proven me wrong in the past. But then again, I am a sucker for trust lol. If it is false, then it really is between that person and God. Yet on the other hand, I don't really think it is wrong to question any poster, if done so tactfully. We ARE here to keep each other on the right path, are we not? But the conversation should not ever turn into a pointing match. Jesus taught us that as Christians we need to act with God's love when we deal with each other. Leave it for the unbelievers to react harshly toward each other. But that is not OUR way. It is a struggle, but it can be done. Since Oliver has put the question to Youth, I do think Youth should have an opportunity to respond. Perhaps it will answer some of Oliver's concern/doubt. Perhaps not. But we can certainly do so without hostility. Remember from whom you are born the second time. |
