I remember seeing the movie Mystic River... there is a referance to pedos being vampires in that which I like too.

I would add two extra points to your list Darkness:

1. Vampires like sucking things and putting things in their mouth.

2. (for me... Like Anne Rice's Louis) It is always a struggle to reconcile the good things about being what I am with the dark side of it.
