Wow, isn't that great?! Some how a friendship like that just makes troubles drift away! Beautiful! I am really happy for you.

But be careful. I don't think you're in the same situation as I was, but a little while back I was in some rough times (you may well know) and I was basically relying on seeing a few boys once a week to get me through things and keep me happy. While it kept me happy for a bit, this situation always seems to end in a bout of depression even worse than that which the relationship was supposed to cover up. Just make sure you're careful, and make sure that you aren't relying on that relationship exclusively for happiness.

One other thing that is jumping out at me: ok, so you've realized that you and your wife are over as a couple. Fair enough - good to make that realization and cauterize any wounds. But is it possible that this relationship is only adding insult to injury for your wife? Like you said, you guys are still friends, right? Well, she just lost her husband! She could probably use a good friend at the moment.

But, on the other side, of course you need happiness! Sorry if I dimmed the lights on you a bit. I just don't want you to fall too hard from anything too soon. Enjoy what you can, but moderate it on all sides. I really hope things work out for you. Good to hear from you, though!
